Can I see in ION Setup the OFFLINE meter framework programmed in Designer with PME?

I know that is two different systems and archives.

ION Setup uses .DCF and DESIGNER uses .FWN for the framework, but we are developing a custom framework for ION8650A in DESIGNER and need to see it working on ION Setup.

The problem is that we have only the offline meter executable and the ION Setup when configured to 127.0.0.1 doesn't see the changes made and saved by DESIGNER.

Thanks in advance and any help would be appreciated!

The off-line meter executables only come with a built-in default framework (they don't persist) so you need to download a template to it every time you start it up (and should save it before you leave otherwise you will lose any modifications).

Unlike ION Designer, ION Setup does support the downloading of both DCFs and FWNs.

Simply select the file type you wish to download by clicking on the droplist in the bottom right of the File Open dialog when prompted:

Partial ION Framework is for framelets (i.e. not full frameworks) and ION Setup will only perform a lock paste (will create/overwrite any existing modules) so care must be taken to select the proper option when using FWN files.

When using ION Designer/ION Setup in tandem, you should frequently delete the device's tree cache as there may be instances where ION Designer will show the incorrect diagram (or dump everything into the newly created modules folder) if you begin pasting different files using ION Setup in succession and not allowing SiteServer ample enough time to notice device configuration changes.  Note that ION Designer now also supports Fast Framework download so there should be less reason to want to use both Setup and Designer onto the same device.
