BCPME bacnet

Good day

please help

I have two types of systems in place, which have different channel and CT requirement to be configured.

  • Power meter  “1” is monitoring 4 off CT strips with 21 CT’s per strip
  • Power meter “2” is monitoring 4 off CT  strips with 18 CT’s per strip.

The following is setup thus far:

  • Meters have been assigned new Ip addresses.
  • Meters have been configured for Bacnet/Ip
  • Device ID and network numberings have been setup to be unique throughout the system
  • I have discovered the virtual router and its associated devices.
  • Values are being seen on the discovered BACnet  registers/Instances/objects.

Setup requirements needed:

The meters monitoring between the two meters have different strips and CT’s counts per strip.

  • I need to setup meter 1 with 4 off strips (1A/2A  1B/2B) arranged for horizontal with 21 CT’s per strip.
  • I need to setup meter 2 with 4 off strips (1A/2A  1B/2B) arranged for horizontal with 18 CT’s per strip.

I have noted that the manual suggests that Modbus register 6 must be changed to 2 which is =sequential 2.

As we are using Bacnet as our communications, how do we access these parameters to enable different configurations?

Can you assist?

Hello @Gladwin ,

The meters can support communicating with multiple protocols. The BCPM unfortunatlly cannot be configured via the BACnet protocol. You will need to use a modbus client such as tester.exe (https://www.se.com/ca/en/faqs/FA180037/) to configure your device.

Regards,

Charles
