I reached out to the product support team and here is the response to your inquiry:
There is no special setup for first use besides what is written in the install sheet.
Which output mode is set?
What range is set?
What readings are expected?
What readings is the EPP302 reporting?

Want to add to that list, what power supply is used, and what voltage do you have at the sensor?
