I have a Remote flow meter that I want to connect to an M580 PLC using FTP, I cant find a guide on how to do this?
The flowmeter needs the following, what values do I use?

Well, the last letter A in the model number 7ME68104HN313AA0 indicates that there is no optional communications module installed on that Mag8000 (a quick read of the manuals says that an IrDA port is needed to communicate with the proprietary Windows Flow Tool or PDM software needed for configuring the flow meter, so the IrDA port is probably standard)
Here's a list of the optional interfaces:
Here's a link to the manual:
Note that the battery life chart on page 75 for use without any comm interface: Modbus RTU over RS-485 is going to drain the battery substantially.
The data sheet on IIoT is filled with jargon that's way above my paygrade.
IIoT Wireless Communication Module & IIoT Web Application Product Sheet and Specific Terms
If you figure out what it means, I'm curious.

I've done a lot of industrial communications but FTP is not a common industrial protocol. What brand and model of flow meter uses FTP (and why)? Usually FTP communications is implemented with a PC and its capabilities, particularly almost unlimited memory.
I'm guessing the flowmeter must have historical, recorded flow or total data that needs to be transferred as a block of data, which is something that Modbus does not do well, but which an FTP client could call.

Hi PV_DAQ,
I'm by no means fixed on using FTP, its just unclear how to get the data effectively onto SCADA without additional hardware. It is a Siemens SITRANS FM MAG 8000 (product code 7ME68104HN313AA0), its installed at a remote location (15km from site) and already has Assetminder Thingworx site working, on this webpage it has FTP forwarding built in. Is there a different way for getting this data to SCADA?
I would typically by using 4-20mA and for remote sites use wireless or radio repeater however, since this has IIoT builtin I'm exploring the option to avoid installing new hardware.
