Please refer to the Geo SCADA Mobile Administration Guide for the full installation procedure.
Please note that between ClearSCADA 2017 and ClearSCADA 2017 R2 the location of the database changed. Therefore upgrading from a version of ClearSCADA Mobile at or before ClearSCADA 2017 will require your action. You will need to move your database (.sdf file) from:
C:\ProgramData\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA Mobile
to
C:\ProgramData\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA
The Geo SCADA Mobile Server uses a small database to store device information. This has
been changed from a Microsoft SQL database to a simpler file store. When upgrading the
Geo SCADA Mobile Server, the data in the SQL database needs to be moved to the new file
store using a new data transfer utility. After installing or upgrading the Geo SCADA Mobile
Server and on first running the Mobile Configurator tool, you will be prompted to find and run
the utility. Check the Release Notes for details.
In order to run Geo SCADA mobile you need to do the following:
1) Ensure that Windows Internet Information Server is turned on. 1.png2) Ensure that you install the Mobile Companion on the Geo SCADA server
2.png3) Enable the mobile server in the Geo SCADA server configuration
3.png4) Install the Geo SCADA mobile app on your mobile device and configure the connections.5) Register the device on the Mobile Configurator.
On the Mobile Server PC, launch the mobile app configurator and add the system name and device. Ensure that Geo SCADA Mobile is licensed properly.
In addition to the steps above, open the IIS Manager (type IIS from the Windows Run field). Check to ensure that the IIS service is running. Click on 'Bindings' to see which port the IIS service is using. Ensure this port is not being used by either the WebX secure or non-secure web servers.4.pngNote - if you are also using the Geo SCADA server on the same host as the Mobile server, then ensure that the ClearSCADA server's WebX port does not conflict. We do recommend that the Geo SCADA server is on a different host from the Mobile server.
For example:5.png5) IIS uses port 443 by default. If it is changed to use port 444 then you need to enter :444 in the tablet (iPad, Android) when connecting
The system name in the Server Configuration | System Configuration | Mobile section must match the name in the Mobile Configurator. If not, the connection will not work.
Ensure the two services: Mobile Companion (on the Geo SCADA Server), and Mobile Server (on the Mobile Server) are both running. Here they are on the same host.7.png
You should be able to ping your cell phone or tablet from the Geo SCADA server and vice-versa.
