"Modbus Gateway" option of Com'X200 User Manual 2014/12?

Hi Team,

I download the latest user manual of Com'X200 from http://shoppingkiosk.schneider-electric.com/ , which was released in 12/16/2014. I found the Modbus gateway would be an option in the setting profile.

5517

But it seems there is not the option in Web setting page. My Com'X 200 firmware is v1.1.20. What's version of firmware supported the field option? or Is any advanced web page enabled the setting, it looks like http://<EGX300_IP>/device_type_gen_enable.shtml ?

Thanks,

Quan

Hello Quan

The modbus gateway is a feature available in Com'X 200 version 1.1 (thus your version V1.1.20 includes this feature)

There are 2 conditions to use this feature :

  • You must enable it. By default this is not the case, because this Com'X has been designed for publishing data to web sytes, using more secured protocoles
  • In order to reduce the syber attack thread, this gateway feature is not available for some interfaces.

This modbus gateway feature is not available for interface that are only used for publication :

eg : The GPRS modem, the Eth1 interface in the configuration of "2 separate port"

This modbus gateway feature is available for interface that are not only used for publication :

eg : the Eth2 interface  and the Eth1 interface in the configuration of "2 switched port"

This is described in pages 35 and 36 of the design guide (ref SLTED113016EN)
