Hello,
I have multiple PM8000 connected and monitored by COMX210. When using the predefined model I am getting communication errors. If I poll only 2 registers with a custom model, it is working fine.
It was working for years. the comx config seems to be corrupted, has someone encountered such an issue ?

Hi @Randi_Dolan ,
Finally solved my issue with my PM8000 v3.1.0.
The root cause was my IP Settings.
Recently our Lab's devices are connected to a VLAN and I set my PM8000 to acquire fixed IP through DHCP.
It seems that some parameters were missing in the ETH Network configuration of my PM8000.
Now this is working better.

Hi,
Would you send me the Com'X diagnostic file?
Thanks,
Randi

Hello @sesa157458_brid and @Randi_Dolan ,
This is a known gap with PM8000 v3.0.0 FW.
Dedicated thread:

My test:
Please upgrade your PM8000 to v3.1.0.

Hello @Guillaume_Evrard ,
It seems that upgrade to 3.1.0 do not solve the issue...
I have a PM8000 v2.1.0 that is working fine and a v3.1.0 that is not reading the PM8000 registers.
For the PM8000 with v3.1.0 the Real Time Data are still "out Of Service". My Com'X510 is v6.8.4
@Randi_Dolan and @Charles_Murison can you test this on your side ?
Thanks.

I tested this with PM8000 firmware version 003.001.000 and Com'X firmware version 6.8.4. And, I didn't see any issues.
Could you provide access to your Com'X?
Thanks,
Randi

Hi,
Our team has tried to upgrade our 4x PM8000 to fw 3.1.0, three PM8000 succeeded but one of the meter has the issue where the factory framwork fails to load.
Would like to seek if there are any advise to rectify this.
We have done the following,
Thank you in advance!

Hello @markyeoh ,
Recommend you contact you local technical support (Se.com-> support -> contact support) for troubleshooting.
Questions:
What version of firmware did you start with? If not V2.1.0 or greater, need to first upgrade to that version.
In ION Setup, there are 2 logs, one for firmware upgrading and one for template pasting, did those logs have any error?
If errors are not specific you could hold down shift before clicking upgrade and switch verbose logging.
I do not recommend replying to this post as this section is for Gateway specific questions. Please provide these logs to technical support or post in the metering forum.
Regards,
Charles

Hi Romain,
It appears I am facing this exact issue on one of our customer sites with 2 sub-stations installed and pending 2 more.
May I know how you resolve this regarding "ETH Network configuration of PM8000"?
Current setup is:
ComX510 on FW 6.8.4
able to view values in the register check.
IonSetup showing values on modbusTCP port 502 and appears all ok.
As work around currently have PM5563 selected showing some values.
see screen capture.

Apologies, I show how, managed to remove Romain's comment.
Need to upgrade the firmware of the PM8000 meter to V3.1.0. In V3.0.0 firmware, if a modbus request included any register with N/A value, meter would respond with modbus exception rather than expected N/A for specific register. Corrected in V3.1.0 firmware.

Charles
