Hi is it possible have first access to PAS via open Ethernet just setting forward port to PAS.

Or first access must be always directly to PAS

Hello Igor,

Default in factory settings, for both gateway types (PAS 600 and PAS800) are:

- both ports are in switched mode (same IP address for both ports)

- the method of assigning the IP V4 address is DHCP

- the method of assigning the IP V4 address of the gateway is DHCP

- the IPV6 address is activated

- the proxy is inactive

Connecting to an Ethernet network:

Obviously, if you connect the Panel Server to an Ethernet infrastructure that includes a DHCP server to provide Ethernet parameters and no other IT rules to block Panel Server traffic, an Ethernet client such as a laptop computer connected to that network may to access the Panel Server (using IPV4 addresses previously assigned by the DHCP server.)

However, keep in mind that it depends not only on the Panel Server but also on the IT rules (firewalls...) inside the Ethernet infrastructure.

Direct connection:

We recommend this mode especially for users who are not familiar with Ethernet network administration. Refer to user guide ref A0172EN-xx  § getting started with EcoStrxure Panel Server web page (I also add a pdf extract of this § in attachment)

I have setup the PAS with correct local IP, access to the internet and new password for the SecurityAdmin user. 

Then went on the router to forward a port (external) to the local IP of the PAS. When I try to log on externally it won’t work because there is a CS demand that it not be exposed on the internet directly.

What is the FW version of your Panel Server ? You may have some difficulties if you are in 001.002.000.

We have a customer using port forwarding on a Sierra 4G router + external provider to have a public IP through a Proxy and this is working well with 001.003.002 and higher. Customer can access the data on its EV charging station through the PAS600. 

4G router is forwarding port 443 of the Panel Server to port 8319 (can be changed on the router interface).

Question: what is a CS demand ?
