Dear all,
We are currently facing difficulties trying to get data from an Ultramess 602 thermal meter (see attached doc) into an EGX300 via modbus RTU.
Has anyone of you had experience (preferably successful ones) with connecting Kamstrup/Ultramess meters to EGX's?
If so, how the EGX should be configured?
Many thanks in anticipation!
-Maxence

Hi Maxence,
Yes, Laurent already pointed out the two key tricks on this:)) Also I would suggest you can try "Modscan" (or another Modbus test tool) to access your device.

Quan

Hi Maxou!
New 3rd party devices can always be tricky but eventually, you can always get it.
What you need to do is:
-- Play by doing -1 or +1 to the address in the document. That's because sometimes addresses start at 0 and sometimes at 1. So you must try both.
-- Make sure to test inverting the registers. Despite documentation, often, there's some differences
So to test it, choose an easy register to start (an int16), try the -1 and +1 to make this one work. Then you can go to the floats.
It's always painful, but these two tricks always do it for me!
Hope this helps!
