ComX publishing over https - Publication Server Requirements

Hi,

Unsuccessful attempts have been made to publish files with HTTPS protocol from a Com'X 510. Previously publishing files from Com'X510 has been implemented with http by pointing to the EGXFileUpload website on the publication (destination) server (EGXFileUpload website has been set up in IIS automatically on a PME server after installing a version of ETL tool).

Can the EGXFileUpload website (seemingly designed to accept post messages over http) be used to accept files using HTTPS protocol? If not, where are detailed requirements for the publication server accepting Com'X510 files with  https protocol documented? (ETL Data Migration Guide and ComX510 user guide don't detail the required information)

Hi,

To change the Com'X publication from HTTP to HTTPS, the same website (EGXFileUpload) can be used.  You will have to change the publication on the Com'X from HTTP to HTTPS and then configure IIS to use HTTPS as well.  You will also need to ensure that the certificate the server uses is one that is compatible with the Com'X.  A list of the accepted certificates are listed in the Com'X User Manual on page 127.
