using dce values in sbo

Hi, i have integrated DCE with SBO using web services. i am unable to use values from DCE in sbo (like changing units W-kW etc), is there someway that these values could be used in sbo

Hi Shaf,

You may want to contact support for SBO on this as I am unsure anyone on this forum knows it that well. I can tell you that depending on devices and how they manage watts vs kW, DCE will also show some devices in W and others in kW. I'm assuming that when you pull data using the API, the info is formatted the same way. Once you pull that data, I would imagine you'd need to do the multiplication on the SBO side of things and how or if that can be done is something you'd need to speak about with someone more knowledgeable about that product.

Please, anyone here with any SBO experience and API experience, feel free to chime in.

I use SBO a lot but not data centre expert that much as we are only now starting with it, so are you saying you want to convert a kw value received in web services to a watt value. Or can you explain exactly what you want to achieve and I will see how I can help.

I want to perform some actions on values recieved via DCE, eg using that input to trigger an output

use these inputs in fbds / logics etc ... i am currently unable to perform these actions as i am unable to use these values / map them to any points within sbo
