Hello,
I got my hands on some temperature sensors (AP9335) that have their RJ45 being cut off accidentally and I would like to know if I can place another generic RJ45 for this sensor so it can work just as well like the original one. So the question is: where do sensors store information about them ? At the Rj45 end or at the sensor end ?
Many thanks

Hi Petru,
The AP9335 has a resistor in the RJ45 end that allows a NetBotz device to determine the type of sensor it is. The pinouts and resistance values are unavailable.

And is there no option to use an AP9335 once it's RJ45 end was cut ?

Hi Petru, The sensors were not designed to be re-used after they were damaged. If they had not been cut and were damaged due to normal usage, they could have been replaced under warranty potentially but since they were purposefully cut, we can't replace them. We do not provide any other option for damaged sensors. You will need to purchase new sensors. Steve

Hy Steve, Yes, the sensors were cut off by a less careful decommissioning team, unfortunately. It's a pity that APC does not provide resistor information, or at least offer the option to buy the rj45 end. Petru
