Hi Murat,
Can you please be more specific about your issue. I can say that there is no known issue with SNMP and SMTP (E-Mail) working at the same time but to help troubleshoot your issue, we'd need to know exactly what is failing. Is it unable to both send an e-mail and a trap at the same time? If you have e-mail configured, are you then unable to use SNMP to access the card? What exactly is happening?
What troubleshooting have you done? If you're not receiving e-mails or traps, have you tried a packet capture to verify the data is not being sent? Did you look at the logs at the time of the issue?

Hi Steve,
Below is what we are facing:
I was in the datacenter yesterday, when I noticed one of the AC units had flashing amber lights. I checked out the display, and it had some errors from last week. (Those errors have cleared themselves up, by the way). I thought it was odd because I didn’t see any email alerts. So I went into Struxureware to investigate this unit, and noticed there was no email settings configured. So I configured SMTP settings and ran a test email, all was good.
About an hour later, I started receiving alerts like the one I’ve attached. I went back into the configuration for this unit, and looked at the SNMPv1 settings, comparing them to other units. I used the password for “snmpv1 read” . Still those errors persisted for the rest of the afternoon, 8 at a time, at least on the hour.
I deleted the A/C unit from Struxureware, and put it back, using SNMP as the discovery method, and still the errors persist. The only way I could get the alerts to stop was to remove the SMTP settings from the unit.
While I was looking at the other AC units, I noticed a lot of them don’t have SMTP settings configured. So I think that means they aren’t going to send out any email alerts. My concern is that if I configure all of them for email alerts, they’ll all start spitting out the SNMP errors.

Murat,
Sorry, I see no attachments.
Where did you set up the e-mail alerts, on the device or in DCE?
What exactly are the alarms you are receiving?
Is StruxureWare actually reading information from the device?
Did you set up both read and write community names in DCE/on the device?
Is priority scanning enabled?
Do the community names have specific IPs associated to them on the network card or is the NMS IP set to all 0s?
Perhaps you could tell me what events you're seeing in the network card's event log.
