We recently got our APC PDU, temp, and humidity sensors set up in DCE. We have a Geist Watchdog 1000 system in place as well. Can we import the Watchdog temp sensors into DCE with a DDF file? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi Anthony,
As long as the PDU can be monitored using SNMP version 1 or 3 or by modbus, you should be able to get a DDF for the device. Please check out https://dcimsupport.apc.com/devices for a DDF to support your device and if it's not there, you should be able to request one. If you need to request one, you will need to run an SNMPwalk of the device (assuming SNMP) and the MIB for the device. For Modbus, you'll need the device's register map.

Hello Anthony,
If Geist has an snmp agent, we should be able to discover it over DCE with the right DDF.
From my research within the device support page, Geist 1200 DDF is requested before and supported but Geist Watchdog 1000 DDF has not been requested. ( https://dcimsupport.apc.com/devices ) .
In order to make a DDF request, please use the following link: https://dcimsupport.apc.com/devices/create
