Hi Stine Hansen and Giri,
DCE software is an appliance based on Linux OS, which can be installed either on a dedicated physical server or as a separate VMware virtual machine. This is the so-called DCE-server.
The DCE software also contains a DCE-client, i.e. a regular program that can be installed and run on a server or workstation based on MS Windows Server 2012 if necessary.
Therefore, if the customer wants to deploy the DCE appliance, only one server based on MS Windows Server 2012 is not enough for obvious reasons.
If the customer wants to deploy the DCE appliance as a Hyper-V virtual machine on MS Windows Server 2012, then this option is also possible, but it is not officially supported and is not recommended (see, for example topics DCE 7.4 & DCO 8.0.1 support on Hyper-V and ).
With respect.
