Hello,
a customer uses ICINGA as standard monitoring tool. They implement now DCE and want a integration of DCE Alarms into the ICINGA system. Is this possible, and how?
thx

If ICINGA accepts SNMP trap, configure DCE to send SNMP trap for alarms
Either use DCE's NMS feature to send SNMP trap by severity OR set alert action send SNMP trap for specific devices alarm.
You will need to provide either powernet.mib (if you use DCE NMS feature) or netbotz.mib(if you use send SNMP alert action).

Hi Chris - to elaborate on what you said, a post I previously commented on may be helpful with the OIDs you can monitor and are supported by DCE's Linux OS. To do this, you have to enable the SNMP Agent via DCE client as I've noted in my post here too ->

Dear Sven,
There is an option to integrate Struxureware DCE with Network Management System.
PowerNet Management Information Base(MIB) can be downloaded here. You can find SNMP trap type from StruxureWare Data Center Expert here.
We also provided API documentation for DCE. You can also explore DCE API. The StruxureWare Data Center Expert web services API is vendor-neutral, scalable monitoring software that collects, organizes, and distributes critical alerts, surveillance video, and key information. It provides a unified view of complex physical infrastructure environments from anywhere on the network.

I hope this helps.
Regards,
Bala

Hello and thank you, but they also want to monitore the physical DCE Server (harddisc, cpu etc.). Is there a mib file for the DCE Server?

You can use the standard OID on uptime, and some of the limited info for DCE.
Not exactly sure if centos OIDs for CPU, RAMs, works to monitor DCE.

yea, I forgot to mention to enable DCE's SNMP Agent if you want to monitor DCE server, as by default that option is disabled. Thanks, Angela

Hello all,
customer dont want that DCE send alarms or traps. The monitoring system should read the DCE periodically. I have enabled the settings System->Server Administration Settings -> Server Access und SNMP server
But is there a MIB file for the DCE Server? Or a SNMP File to implement in the monitoring system?
thx
