Scan barcode always "flash back" in VIZOR by iPAD device
Hi Team ,
I just test the VIZOR for barcode function on iPAD device, I can scan the barcode before keyin in DCO and the
message form VIZOR show : "scanresult: Barcode xxxxxxxxxxxxxx not found" .
But when I keyin the barcode to the IT device in the DCO , then used iPAD login VIZOR to scan the barcode .
It's always flash back and no response .
I also used my moblie to test , sometime work and sometime didn't work .
Does anyone know this issue and what's the problem on it ? Your help would be appreciate .
My iPAD version : 7.1.1 , Type: MD330TA/A

Billy, perhaps get a video recording of the issue?that might help to explain to the team. Also, are you using DCO 750 or DCO 8?

I'm not sure that this Bar Code Scanning feature has been tested from the software development point of view, but your test obviously shows that there might be some issues. So I will log a software enhancement case, thanks.

Hi Chu Li, I was reviewing your shared video capture, and as a summary I've noticed the following steps: 1. scanresult returns "barcode xxx not found" 2. you've entered the barcode xxx to your DCO model and saved. 3. and then re-scanning (step 1) returns no result. I was wondering if restarting the VIZOR (between step 2 and step 3) would have helped? Kind regards

By the way, you might want to check-out the DCO 8 Web Client https://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/UADCO8x/What+is+new+in+StruxureWare+Data+Center+Operation+8.0#Wh... that's a new feature shipped with DCO 8, I know it doesn't have barcode scanning capabilities, but it might be potentially a good replacement for VIZOR (or even Mobile).
