We recently built out a hot-aisle containment system in our data center. We are tweaking the settings of the new 10-rack, 4 in-row cooler system. What have other people set their long-term and short-term temperature rates of change for?

Austin,
Threshold specifics are configured on a per individual or company based SLA and other data center KPIs. The thresholds you configure should be based on what you would like to be alerted on. What the normal operational temperature of the data center. This is way it is difficult to get a feel for that others are configured for. I would recommend setting your thresholds to what you feel is acceptable and then tweak if needed.
Thanks
Victor

Austin,
I agree with Victor. We've had this similar layout for over 3 years and now building our 3rd enclosure.
