Hi,
we have DCIM server installed in one location (DC-01) and we need to monitor some PDUs which are installed in another location (DC-02). DC01 and DC02 are connected over WAN (P2P), the IP reach ability is there between PDUs to DCIM server. I want to know how the DCIM server will discover the PDUs of DC02.
Regards,
Osama

Hi,
You may need to enable a few ports from DC02 to be visible to the DCIM server at DC01. Port such as SNMP (data polling etc), FTP/SCP (required during initial discovery or firmware update). If you happened to change the default username and password, please add in the credentials inside DCE. Please refer to the port numbers as follows

Hi Casval,
Do I need to configure anything in DCIM physical server? Currently DCIM server is utilizing 2 Gb ports, one is connected to our network and 2nd is connected to LAN (192.168.0/1.x) network and all the PDUs in DC01 have IPs within this local network. To monitor PDUs at DC02 location there will be separate local network (192.168.100.x) for which you advised to open such ports. Will there be any physical patching required to DCIM server? Do we need to connect cables at available ports Gb3/Gb4 in DCIM server? Can you provide single line diagram of physical connectivity?
Regards,
Osama
