Good day
Please assist
I am receiving this error "Netbotz daemon.err root: nbPPP[2770]: Missing nbSerialPortDev for nbSerialPort_0" in the appliance log of my Netbotz 500 Wallbotz.
It was working perfectly and all of a sudden i was not receiving any SMS' and looked at the appliance log and saw this error.
I have rebooted, power cycled the unit a few times to no avail. I also managed to restore from a previous working backup and yet no luck. I have disconnected the modem and reconnected but nothing.
Modem status is "unknown" - i feel this could be the end for my Multi-Tech MultiModemGPRS modem. any ideas before i start looking for other modems ?
See below error;
Netbotz daemon.err root: nbPPP[2770]: Missing nbSerialPortDev for nbSerialPort_0
FYI - i feel i have posted this issue before but cannot find the initial query but the issue resolved itself back then... (apologies for my ignorance)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards

Hi Juice,
I had this problem on three Netbotz appliances, in all cases it turned out to be the 5m USB extender cable. Replacing the cables fixed the issue.
Kind regards,

Thank you Dominic.
I will try my utmost to get another cable and hopefully this solves the issue, what puzzles me is I dont have an extender cable, its a normal USB cable (connects to a HUB) and what looks like a printer port that connects to the modem
Will sowp it out and hope for the best.
Your help is appreciated - thank you!
