NBRK0570 running V4_5_1_20151117_1714
I am trying to reset the default root password to get access to the WEB UI and connect via Advanced View.
The 570 was previously monitored by a DCE server that is no longer installed. When I came to the 570 it was waiting for a DHCP lease and still had the default root password.
I logged into the console and selected 'M' to modify the network config and successfully set a static IP, SM, gateway. After setting up networking, the 'C' option just logs me back out.
The web service came up now and I can load the web page. But, I assume per the documentation, I cannot login to Web or Advanced View because the default root password is still unchanged. However I cannot get a prompt to change the password at the console to do it.
I followed the KB Recovering a Lost Web/Advanced View/Root Password but when I log back into the console, only the network update option is given and no password reset prompt.
I then tried Advance view password reset for netbotz 570 with configreset and likewise the console only allowed me to setup networking, no root password reset prompt. I did this, got the http service back up, but still cannot login because I am stuck with root/apc credentials. I also lost my license now too.
I have another 570 that behaves just the same.
Any help greatly appreciated
