I attempted to reset the Netbotz 250 via the pinhole and did not get the flashing green status light as indicated in the install manual. I can establish a connection via the serial port but both putty and tera term hang and show no evidence of a connection. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Cory,
I appreciate the advice. I wound up calling tech support, and they walked me through fixing it. They had me change the baud rate to 57600, which gave me access to reload the firmware. After completing all of the steps support had me go through, I was able to access and log into the web GUI and configure the device.

Hi @cp02032024,
When connecting serially to the NetBotz 250 a driver is required. We have seen when either the driver is not installed or the incorrect serial connection parameters are used that will prevent the serial session from displaying anything.
Information on the serial connection requirements and all of the possible factory reset methods can be found here: https://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA365995/
Regards,
Cory

Hi Cory, I have tried this. I can connect via putty but just get a flashing cursor. Also the LED on the network port is not flashing green after reset as it should be. Not sure where to go from here.

Hi @cp02032024,
If the factory reset instructions don't seem to be working, there may be something else going on here. I would recommend reaching out to technical support to look into seeing if the system can be recovered.
Regards,
Cory
