Dear Team,
I have a customer who needs the NetBotz 570 data stored externally to the WD My Cloud network drive via NFS.
I have tried to mount the NFS share to the NetBotz but no success, kindly anyone with any suggestions I shall gladly appreciate.
Thank you.
Regards,
Felix.

Hi Felix,
You may have noticed there is no user access information on the NFS mount option in AV. You must instead create rights on the NFS share for the NetBotz appliance by IP. I'm not familiar with "My Cloud" so I am not sure what options it may have for configuration. Maybe someone else in the forum has experience with it. You may also want to check the NetBotz appliance logs to see if it has noted anything specific about the failure to mount.

Nope...nothing there. Maybe capture the serial output on boot of the bot. Did you verify that the IP of the bot has full read, write, create access on your NFS? Steve

Felix, when you configure this setting, the appliance reboots. Please connect a USB cable from the appliance to a computer and run hyperterminal or putty and open a serial connection. Print the output of that to a file. Set up the NFS info on the appliance and allow the reboot and capture that data. Steve

Felix, It looks like permissions and I can't tell you how to change that on your "My Cloud" box: This is from the logs you sent Starting portmap daemon: portmap. mount: 192.168.0.11:/netbotz failed, reason given by server: Permission denied mount: nfsmount failed: Bad file descriptor mount: Mounting 192.168.0.11:/netbotz on /opt/netbotz/mnt failed: Bad file descriptor root: Waiting to retry mount of 192.168.0.11:/netbotz using nfs... root: Attempting mount of 192.168.0.11:/netbotz using nfs... mount: 192.168.0.11:/netbotz failed, reason given by server: Permission denied Steve
