Hi
We have DCO, DCE and Portal server in Australia and everything is working fine within the same network.
Now we are planning to add/communicate the infrastructure of UK datacenter into DCO, DCE and Portal servers.
Can any body help me to let me know that which ports exactly we need to open in firewall to communicate UK infrastructure like Netbotz570, In Row PDUs, Rack PCUs etc with DCO, DCE and Portal servers in Australia?
The struxureware web site is giving too much information regarding ports to open for DCO, DCE, Portal and Netbotz etc.
Do we need to open all the ports?
I need to provide the exact port names and numbers to our network team which are necessary to open.
Kindly help
Regards
Imran

Hi Imran
Portal communicates with DCE and DCO so if that's all running in Oz, no further action required. If you need UK users to access portal with their web browser, then you need to open whatever port/s they need depending on what port the Portal is running on (it's configurable)
DCO communicates with DCE and if that too is running well, no further action required. If you need UK users to access DCO, then you need to open the ports 80 or 8080 depending on DCO config. Both DCO web and Java clients operate over same ports
Sounds like you need DCE to communicate with devices in the UK. This is done primarily via SNMP (and variously ICMP, telnet FTP etc) and for NetBotz HTTP. Check the comments column at https://dcimsupport.apc.com/display/public/UADCE725/StruxureWare+Data+Center+Expert+Security?querySt...
Hope that helps
