Installing Multi-Tech MultiModem cell on NB 450

Hi,

I have connected the USB cable of  Multi-Tech MultiModem cell (MTCBA-G2-U-ED) and seem not to be getting any success in the installation, after adding it as a Multi-Tech MultiModem cell in the serial devices.

Kindly find the below appliance log and advise how well I can get this installed.

Regards,

Felix

Hi Felix!

What version of firmware installed on Netbotz appliance?

There is an issue with modems on 4.4, which should be fixed in next release.

You could try to downgrade Netbotz to 4.3 version and it should work fine.

Hi Kozlov,

Thank you, I have done exactly just that and am seeing some progress as shown below on the status tab of the SMS configuration.

However, I am not able to sent SMS alerts, please find the appliance log below and kindly advise.

Hello, i have the same issue with Netbotz 455, firmware is latest: 4.5.0. My modem is MTCBA-G2-U.

If this issue is not solved in 4.5.0, how i can downgrade it?

Thank you.

HI Cemil!

To downgrade, you need to donwload proper version of firmware from apc.com.

In that archive you can find tftp folder, which contain all necessary files to upgrade/downgrade. How to do this described in readme file in same folder.

Hi Valentin Kozlov,

I'm interested in the downgrade procedure for the NetBotz appliance firmware from version 4.6.1 to the version, for example, 4.3 and below. Your link to the necessary software and downgrade information is no longer valid. Can you help me or already need to contact only local support?

Very thanks for the support.

I found this instruction FA176133 for the downgrade procedure, but it says that it is applicable to NetBotz version 3. Therefore, I have a question: can this procedure be used for NetBotz version 4?

Very thanks for the support.

Hi Guys I have just logged in here after struggling onsite to get the same config going as Felix. Netbotz 450 4.5 > MTCBA-G2-U-ED. Is it still the recommendation to downgrade to 4.3 from 4.5 and give 4.4 a miss ?
