Is it possible to reserve a uspace in the data center without creating a work order? Thanks

Hi Jonathan,
It is not as such possible to reserve the u-space like it is done with a work order, with out creating a work order.
A work around would be to create a genome(s) that has the name "Reserved". That could be done based on e.g. a patch panel if the power should not be taken into account.
Otherwise just changing the name of the device to "Reserved" once added to the model would make it easy to take the power into consideration and then once the device is installed just rename the device to the actual.
A tag or custom property could maybe also be applied to the server telling if it is installed or reserved so that it is not only based on the string (that might be misspelled.
This is a fragile solution if it is a large setup. However using the equipment browser and tagging I guess would make it possible to manage.
