Hello,
My client has a problem with the new version of IT Advisor.
He used to do cable management via edit route. For example, he cuts one route and paste to another to device to change its route.
However, after the update, cable type also added to the route and he cannot cut and paste. Even if the cable type is deleted from the route, after pasting another device, you can't cut route one more time.
When you try to cut another time, ITA gives an error or it won't show other devices cable management tab. You have to restart the client after that happens.
Do you have any ideas to solve this situation? My client doesn't want to do cable management via cable management tool. He get used to do via edit routing on version 9.1.4 and it works perfect on that version.
If no idea has come up, I plan to do a clean installation of 9.1.7 where cable types are not added to the IT Advisor.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Erhan,
Cables and network connections are not physical items and might not make sense to be moved or cut and paste. They describe connection between items, so it makes sense to be configured properly by using the available tools in the product (such as 'Connection tool' and Edit route) otherwise there might be a risk of introducing duplicates and/or null pointer exceptions/errors.
Kind regards,
Jef

Hi Jef,
I also didn't use cut and paste from cable management tab. But our customer has already used to do from there. I do a clean installation of 9.1.7 and it works fine.
After cable types added to the route, it either crashes the client and force restart or don't let you cut or paste the new root.
I think this is a bug for the new version.
And I don't think our customer would let me upgrade the ITA again since he won't be able to input network data via network route.
Could you please notify the programmers about checking this situation? As I said, it works perfect on 9.1.7.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Erhan
