Hello. I'd like to suppress notifications for just the camera on one of our Netbotz appliances. Can you tell me where I do that? I don't want to suppress any other alerts by changing an appliance-wide alert profile.
If I go to (in Advanced View) Camera Pod Configuration > Sensors > Edit Camera Motion Threshold > Edit Alert Profile > Advanced > Suppress alert notifications until... will that affect any other sensors running on this particular profile?
Thanks.

Hi Dominic,
If you are in the edit threshold screen, you do not want to then click the edit alert profile button. If you change the alert profile, then everything using that profile will be changed as a result. I suggest simply disabling the threshold and re-enabling it when you want it to start again. If you want to disable the threshold only during certain hours, the advanced tab on the threshold page has a scheduling button but this would be a daily/weekly thing and not turn off until x date like the suppress option.
The only way to use the suppress option without changing the alerting for all other sensors using this profile would be to create a profile specifically for that sensor.

Thanks for the reply. I don't want to disable the sensor. I want to keep monitoring and recording the information from the sensor but stop it from sending us alerts today and tomorrow. How would I best do that? It seems to me that disabling the threshold would stop it from recording anything at all, and the same with changing the scheduling. I only want to stop the alerts.

Hi Dominic,
If you need the threshold enabled but do not want to get notified as you are currently with the alert profile you are using, you should create a different profile and associate it with the motion threshold. This way the threshold is still enabled and the appliance will still alert, you just won't send it to anyone.
Now the alert will capture and save locally, if you're running StruxureWare Data Center Expert and capturing alerts or surveillance, you'll still get images there as well...you simply won't get e-mails or whatever alert you had set up in the original profile.

Thanks. I'm going to create a new profile with the same settings as the previous one and suppress alerts for the required time so they turn back on automatically afterwards.

Dominic,
Sorry, thought you didn't want that, I had suggested the following in my initial response:
The only way to use the suppress option without changing the alerting for all other sensors using this profile would be to create a profile specifically for that sensor.
