Hello.
We have deployed StruxureWare infrastructure on four virtual machines with the following roles:
We need to transfer this infrastructure to different LAN segment, Therefore, we need to change IP addresses of virtual machines. We think if we trivially change IP addresses, infrastructure will not work.
Please, advise, how we can to know about proper procedure? Is it described in documents?
Thanks in advance.

Hi E.,
I can answer for the StruxureWare DCE aspect of your question. There is no documentation on changing the IP as we do not recommend doing so. I would recommend setting up the server in the environment and with the IP it is planned to be used in. There are a number of aspects of the system where the IP is set on the devices and with an IP change on the server, there is no easy way to force this information to be changed on the devices. If you have opened security in your network for this system to allow specific protocols, you'd need to reconfigure that aspect of your setup as well.
Additionally, with a DCE VM, if you move the VM to another system, you will also often get a new mac address. License keys on DCE are tied to a mac address and if you change that, all license keys will need to be reset and re-redeemed against the new mac. You'd need to contact your local support teams directly for that.
Steve.

Steve, about IP on the devices. But if we want to remake DCE for new datacenter infrastructure in this LAN segment? That is on datacenter devices new IP address will be used.
Licenses are not problem. And we be able to save MAC.

Hi E., Not sure I understand:
...about IP on the devices. But if we want to remake DCE for new datacenter infrastructure in this LAN segment?
If you change the IP, communications between DCE and any already configured devices / systems could be problematic. I'm not saying it won't work, it just can have issues and I don't suggest it. Just changing the DCE IP is pretty simple. Under system / server administration settings and Network Settings, you have public LAN 1 and potentially private LAN 2.
If you have a secondary NIC or private LAN set up on the system now, you need to have one on the other host. If you have this set up in your DNS system where the host name is matched to the old IP, your network admin will need to update the forward and reverse pointers for that as well.

regarding to Portal, you will need to change endpoint ip addresses if you are using IP.

For DCO there is a guide available. Changing the IP address of the StruxureWare Data Center Operation server through Webmin
Also make sure to correct all the External System integrations in the DCO once the systems are moved.
For ITOptimize the IP can be changed using the standard way of doing this on the used operating system. ITO is an installation that is not providing any network configuration option itself.

Adding to Soren's comment. He is correct stating the IP address of the IT Optimize server can be changed using normal OS based processes. Any discoveries defined on the IT Optimize server which discover assets with changed IP's should be updated with new IP ranges (if necessary) and rerun, otherwise the polling of those assets will fail (because their IP's changed). The external system definition in DCO needs to be updated, and should be "re-tested" from the external system definition to confirm connectivity.
