Why do I get "Detected an unauthorized user attempting to access the FTP interface " every day when a device (UPS) is polled by EcoStruxure IT?

Hi John,
The FTP credentials for that device don't match those in the Gateway. You can add the credentials for that device in the Device File Transfer Settings option in the Gateway. Here's some information from the Help Center you'll find useful: Configuring device file transfer settings and a troubleshooting article:I am getting unauthorized FTP access emails daily
Best regards,
Jackie

Yes they do match. I already had added the credentials for that device (UPS) in the Device File Transfer Settings option in the Gateway.

Hello John,
To dive deeper into Jackie's answer above. EcoStruxure IT not only requires the username and password for the NMC but we require the admins username and password. The network card restricts FTP rights to only the admin user and not another other user of the card. As well as, please confirm that the port numbers match as well. Those would be the two reasons that FTP is not working but based on the error I am leaning toward user rights or credentials.
Thank You
Victor

I was using 'apc' for the username and password. That is the factory default I believe and it is a User Type of 'Super User'. Or should I login with the username of 'Manager' that we created with the User Type of 'Administrator'?
