Hi,

Is this a fresh Linux install that contains the new DCO 8.0?

Can this be installed on Hyper V?

My current server is on VMware, however we are trying to migrate our servers to Hyper V.

Hi Martin,

That's correct, DCO 8.0 needs to be installed as a fresh install. It is shipped with CentOS as operating system (which is different than the previous versions, and therefore a fresh install would be needed).  DCO 8.0 supports restoring the backup file(s) from the previous versions (7.x).

It seems it's been confirmed by another user that they have installed  DCO 8.0 on hyper-v running on Windows 2012 R2:

Hello Jef, Thanks for the info, As we purchased the Linux OS version of DCO, I guess i will need to reinstall this OS and then install the new version of DCO. Can you please point me in the direction of the CentOS ISO and the new DCO Download? Martin

Hi Martin, You are most welcome, The DCO 8.0 installer image, that is used to install StruxureWare Data Center Operation server, contains all installation material including the OS. Pre-installation of OS is not needed, if you already have the installation file(s) for DCO 8, then follow the installation instructions described here: Installing StruxureWare Data Center Operation If you don't have the installation file(s) yet, then you might want to contact your local tech support (or your =S= contact person). Please be prepared that they will ask for a valid support contract 🙂 Kind regards
