Hi,

is it possible to upgrade a 5 nodes free DCE server or does the customer have to make a new VM with the latest version ??.

Yes, the customer can upgrade their demo DCE to a production server. They only need to purchase a activation key for the virtual appliance.

As far as I am still aware of when using the free version you will need to make a backup and then install the newer free version (start from scratch) and then restore your data/config from the prior backup. The Upgrade file is only for the paid versions unless Schneider has changed it's policy since we first used DCE.

Just an FYI, backups will only work with the same version. You can not create a backup of 7.2.6 and import into 7.2.7.

i mean from 7.2.6 to 7.27  or higher, with the upgrade file.

The server stay's as a 5 nodes free version.
