Any DCO facility to support DIN rail mounted devices? Any plans to support these?
I'm doing a migration from openDCIM to DCO. In this case, openDCIM has been configured to model a DIN rail with 2 x 4U high DIN mounted devices as a single rack mount device template, with the images showing the DIN rail mounted between the 2nd and 3rd U positions. Where the DIN rail has only one of the devices, a different rack mount template is used.
I've played with the DCO shelf but it doesn't work very well and prevents the presence of the DIN rail when a device sits on the shelf.
Anyone found a smooth way to model these?

Could you model DIN rail as blade enclosure and rail-mountable devices as blades? Bay width should the size of typical single rail device and bigger devices would be multi-bay.
This would allow to model physical presence of rail or devices. Blade and blade enclosure could only model power consuming devices.
Other option could be to use two shelves, marking the top and bottom boundaries of space, reserved for rail.

I went with the method the client used in openDCIM. A few rack mount devices representing the DIN rail and whatever combination of devices mounted. I.e. a DIN rail and 2 power supplies, a DIN rail and a single power supply. If new DIN mounted equipment appears as I migrate, I'll replicate.
I have added a feature request for support of DIN rail and DIN mounted equipment
