DCE & DCO coexisting with SOPHOS antivirus
Hi team:
Do you know if there are a kind of restriction to install and run any antivirus program on the server that allocate DCE or DCO.
Can DCE & DCO coexist with antivirus ? / Thank you in advance.

Hi @SESA380953 ,
We do not support installing any software of any kind on the StruxureWare DCE server, hardware or VM. We also do not provide root access and that would be required to install anything on the system.

I believe DCO has similar restrictions when it comes to installing 3rd party packages but I don't have any specifics on DCO so if anyone else knows with a little more certainty, please feel free to share.
Thanks,
Steve

Adding to Steve's response in regards to DCO/ITA.
In general, customers are allowed to install their own security tools on their DCO/ITA server as long as the server is allowed to continue to meet DCO/ITA system requirements and it may be necessary to exclude specific directories on the server so that the tool(s) do not impact the performance of the product.
For example, it may be necessary to exclude the postgres database directories from an antivirus tool as those files regularly change and an antivirus tool can lead to unexpected behavior and/or poor performance.
Regards
Greg Sterling
