DCE 7.2.4.42 VM is sluggish

We have purchased a virtual appliance license and are planning on migrating from the physical box. The virtual client is considerably slower than the physical unit. The desktop client takes approximately 2-2:30 minutes with no devices configured to connect to the vm. Our physical box with all of our devices configured and monitored takes approximately 6 seconds.

I am reluctant to continue with the migration with this kind of delay. The ESX host and the physical DCE box are in the same location and  network throughput looks good. CPU utilization never  goes over 6% according to the VM stats.

Current VM build Specs:

VM Version: 7

CPU: 4 vCPU

Memory: 4096 MB

Memory Overhead: 64.86 MB

VMware Tools: Running

Consumed Host CPU: 63 MHz

Consumed Host Memory: 1697 MB

Active Guest Memory: 163 MB

Provisioned Storage: 272 GB

I am having the same issue. The VM takes forever to find devices, create new folders, etc. I ran a device search several times for the same IP and it took maybe 5 minutes to actually show up in the unassigned folder.

I too was going to migrate over from the appliance however with this latency issue, that isnt going to happen until it is fixed.

The VM itself seems to be running fine. Although memory is up to 80% usage. I am using the maximum 4GB of RAM and per the specs it can't use anymore.

My VM is almost maxed out on storage at around 300GB. I am working to increase this to 500GB however I doubt that will fix this issue since it has been going on for awhile now.
