Connection between DCO 7.5 and DCE 8.1.1

Hi.

We have a DCE 8.1.1 up and running ok,  that was upgraded from DCE 7.8.1 doing the correct upgrade path (version by version).  This original old DCE 7.8.1 were linked to a DCO 7.5.0.  Now, we note that the new DCE 8.1.1 is showing a recurrent message like this:

4/2/25 17:58:52.211 WARN - FAILED TO TRANSMIT ALERT https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:443/isxo/core/monitoring/central/AlarmEventReceiver org.soda.dpws.fault.DPWSFault: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

(com.apc.dpws.ISXCentralEventingNotifier)

The old DCO is still running (I don't know why) but is not linked with the new DCE. So, I thought that I could asossiate the old DCO to the new DCE a then dissosiate to clear this relationship, but the old DCO is not capable to link to the new dce (with a direferent IP) I think because the tls version, since this DCO see the new DCE (checked by ping and curl -k from the DCO ssh console).

So, the question is: how can I dissosiate a DCO that cant comunicate whit a new DCE from the DCE itself? I culdn't find any way to do that from the DCE configuration.

I hope is clear explained.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

Error message appears to complaining about the communication between the servers (DCO and the integrated DCE). It seems to be issue with the ssl handshake usually may be caused by certificate change.

DCO is outdated/unsupported.

DCO 7.5.0 may not work with the latest DCE products.

You might want to consider updating your DCO to ITA, if you have active support contract.

You can then edit the integration between ITA and the integrated DCE to update the trusted ssl handshake.

Thanks Jef.

Maybe I was unclear or missing information. DCO 7.5 is not operational and has already been migrated to ITA (now 9.5). That old DCO just turned it off and the new DCE now says it can’t find it. Something below in DCE is still looking for the old DCO with which it was once related. How to remove this relationship from DCE? I didn’t find it.... Attached there are 2 images ilustrating this situation. Thanks a lot

Hello. Someone comes up with something to eliminate this relationship between the DCE and a DCO that no longer exists. The log is filled with these useless messages. Thank you very much.
