Sorry Pete, I just realized you're trying to link a shared sensor pod switch. So if you have a remote unit with an output, you can not trigger that output from a local sensor. Here, I created a switch on a 450:
I can see the state of the switch and I can create a threshold locally for that sensor:
I can not however configure that remote switch to trigger for a local event. If your local device has an output, you can configure that to switch based upon the remote sensor but not visa-versa (note the external ports option is unavailable.

Hi Pete,
Before you can choose that switch option for another output, you must first configure it. If you have configured 2 outputs and one is set up as a switch and another as a button for instance, you won't have the button available under the switch alert option. If you have not set up a second option at all, you'll have neither choice. Here's an example:
Note I have 1 switch and 1 button. You can also see that the switch alert action only has the switch option:
The button option only shows the reboot button:

Not that I know of Pete,..the sharing aspect was designed mostly for monitoring rather than control. I don't have a list but there are a few other aspects of pod sharing that when you attempt to configure it from let's call it the master device, you will actually be prompted to configure it on the slave device and log into it instead.
