Hi team,
is it possible to integrate the CMBD to IT Advisor through the API? We need a bidirectional integration with IBM Maximo CMDB, and the customer only accepts web services Integration.
Thanks in advance

Hi Javier,
It may depend on what data may need to be communicated between the systems, however as described in this article:
https://helpcenter.ecostruxureit.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006853958-ITA-web-service-API
The RESTful web service documentation is available on your EcoStruxure IT Advisor server at https://<server-IP>/api/current/docs/index.html
Use the system administration credentials you use when logging into EcoStruxure IT Advisor.
Accessing the API documentation on your EcoStruxure IT Advisor allows you to easily test the endpoints.
I would also like to mention that there is also an ACS team offering custom solutions (paid services) both via ETL and API integrations. Please let me know if you wish to get in touch with the ACS team to discuss the details.
Kind regards,
Jef

Hi Jef,
I checked the web services API, I did not see any POST method for Assets, only GET. So I think is not possible a bidirectional integration with web services to a external CMDB.

Hello Javier
Are you looking to be able to add assets to ITA via REST? There is a POST asset call in the Asset section which can be used to add assets to ITA. Note the POST command requires you specify the asset's parent, like placing a server in a rack so the rack would be the parent.
Regards
Greg Sterling

Thanks Greg, if the parent can be the rack I think this will be enough.
