How do I know if my devices are setup for automatic redundancy in the event my primary AC unit fails. I use StruxureWare Data Center Expert.

our AC was serviced by an AC company. Normally if we cause a communications failure between units the standby unit will become active. Today during testing this didn't happen. we had to manually turn off the active AC and the other standby unit came online. After the test we turned on the "Primary" unit and the standby unit went back into standby mode.
I want to make sure the setup is correct so if my primary AC unit fails (power,compressor,com link failure etc) that my backup unit will cut in to cool the room.

I.e., it is about communications failure between primary and slave AC units? But not about communications failure between AC units and the DCE server?

Yes that would be correct. I was unsure of the DCE could be used to REVIEW the configuration to make sure things were setup properly for the failover.

What does it mean? I.e., you didn't see in the DCE server of messages or alarms that primary AC unit failure and the subsequent start slave AC unit?
