Tagging in a 474 to opc ignition
Looking for someone to point me in the right direction on tagging from my HMI, system which is Ignition to a 474 controller. It does not give the option to address in the data editor, only alias of. In the way of a M340 controller where I would direct address with M, MW, or Q. is All tag linking done in the Remote Connect?

Essentially yes.
Within the Logic environment of RemoteConnect you only reference Objects (ideally).
Back out in RemoteConnect configuration world is where those Objects are bound to various interfaces, like DNP3, Modbus etc etc. Since you're mentioning M / MW / Q, then I assume Modbus is what you'd likely want to use there.
So you'd give your Object a Modbus Server / Client address within RemoteConnect. And then the HMI can reference that. It would then be accessible in the Logic Editor to either read/write (or both) depending on your Remote Connect configuration for that object.

You'll likely have a better audience in the SCADAPack forum.
