OPC and OPC UA Licensing

Does any one know if you have an Existing OPC licensed server if that applies to the 2022 OPC UA server when you upgrade?

I have been discussing with a customer upgrading to Geo SCADA 2022 so they can use OPC UA for some data sharing with new applications.

I would ask our sales rep, but frankly they have been terrible getting correct and timely information and quotes out of.

I was told that the UA Server component of Geo SCADA is built into the server at no additional cost.  It's agnostic to the OPC DA licensing component.  I've validated this internally with some text boxes where I had GS UA being hit by multiple clients without a license.

Looking at the part list I'm not seeing anything UA related for server components.

Trent is correct - unlike DA, UA needs no extra license!
