Hello,
In Geo SCADA, more than one person can log in to the system from different computers using the same user. I want only one person to log in with one user at a time. Is there any way to avoid this situation? What settings, if any, do I need to use?

The same user can log in to a different workstation - there are no restrictions to this.

Our client has 30 web users and is a large institution. If a person shares their user name with someone else, this causes problems in terms of licensing. Therefore, it should be active on only one computer with the same user name and password. If a second person tries to log in with the same username and password while the first person is active, it is requested that they cannot log in.

Only option I can think of is to setup Geo SCADA to use their Domain users.

Using Domain (Active Directory) authentication may not help, as you can log in to multiple windows sessions with the same username.
You wrote 'this causes problems in terms of licensing' - but Geo SCADA counts the number of different workstations connected to the server, so even if the same user logs in to them, different licenses are used correctly.

My thought was that the people sharing their SCADA login information would not share their domain login information and that would reduce the problem, but yes the person could still log on multiple times. Setting up connecting to the Domain to authenticate users is in the help but I have never implemented it myself.
I am not sure if Idle log off would cause the license to be freed for Virtual ViewX. If it does that would help also They would only be viewing the login screen and nothing from the system at that point so I see it as a possibility but I can easily come up with reasons for the license not being released when you've been idle logged out.
I know WebX would keep the licenses if you were logged out until you changed to another we site of closed Internet Explorer, but Virtual ViewX is totally different than the old ActiveX.
@sbeadle do you know if a user that has been idle logged out of Virtual ViewX releases its license?
