Can anyone recommend a suitable SMS modem that will work with Schneider Electric - Geo SCADA Expert Help - Pager Driver Guide - SMS - Short Message Service (Intro....
My preference would be for a SMS modem that supports AT commands over TCP/IP so I don't have to use a serial connection to from the server to the SMS modem as the GEO SCADA server will be virtual also I would not like a to use a moxa serial converter such as a MOXA Nport 5110A as I would like it all in one unit.
Regards
Scott

I tested the Thales (formely Gemalto) EHS6T LAN on a Geoscada successfully. It gets the commands on the TCP/IP port 1234.

I've used Robustel and Teltonika modems with success as SMS sending.
I can't recall if the Teltonika worked for receiving as well, but after some jiggling (documented somewhere on this forum) I did get the Robustel working for this.

@BevanWeiss What was the model of the Teltonika modem you used? did it ever worked for receiving SMS messages?
The Robustel modem, do you know what was the model number?
Thank you

Never tried on the Teltonika. For the Robustel, you should search this forum. The details are available.

Apologies for reviving a resolved post, but I have not had any luck getting SMS (Verizon) working on either a Teltonika RUT241 or a Multitech MTR-LNA7. Out of the box, I cannot find much info on what port AT commands are received on for either and the only SMS settings I can find for the Multitech are for Win911 which seems to operate on telnet. Teltonika support so far does not seem to be familiar with anything remotely close to this application and things some type of custom script is needed to get it working. Any help or direction on configurations would be appreciated.

Teltonika RUT241
The following page indicates the an SSH client is required to logon to the router and then used to send AT commands to the modem:
https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/AT_Commands
The Geo SCADA pager driver does not include an SSH client.
Multitech MTR-LNA7
The documentation is unclear, but it doesn't appear this router contains a Telnet server (or similar) which can be used to sent AT commands to the modem via the network.
