Hi team,
I have seen that to connect PM8000 meters to EEH it is recommended to connect through a site server gateway. I also saw that while not recommended it can be done through a PAS600/800 with limited support and data available. Has anyone tried to connect a PM8000 to PAS? If so, what data was available?
For the application that this is for, the end user only wants to see Energy consumption at 3 different sites through EEH and they already have a PM8000 installed at each site.

Hello Dean,
Was it the "Architecture Design & Selection" Document that this recommendation came from?
The PM8000 can be connected to EEH through a Panel server Gateway and this has been tested. In terms of measurements, there should be little to no difference between the measurements that you get from a Panel server vs a Site Server.
The main difference is that the Site Server and Panel server have different capabilities so depending on what EEH modules or what you want to use EEH for might influence which Gateway you should connect through. In general the Site Server offers more functionality for a higher end meter which is why it was probably recommended.
Some examples of the differences:
SiteServer
Panel Server
So if the customer wanted to get the Electrical Distribution Monitoring and Alarming (EDMA) or Energy Code Compliance module, then I would recommend a Site Server, otherwise you would be losing a lot if not all of the functionality of those modules if you connected through a Panel Server.
However, if it is only Energy Consumption that the customer is interested in then a Panel server should be fine.
