Hello,
We have a case with Energy Hub already up and running. We encountered some disconnections due to a overload of the Panel Server communication. To decrease the overload of the communication between Panel Server and EEH cloud, we will install another PAS and move some of devices to the new PAS.
The main concern now is how we can transfer certain devices from the existing PAS to the new PAS without losing data for the remaining devices in the first PAS and keep the historical data available in EEH. Basically, the configuration of the site will not change (number and type of power tags and meters), the only change is adding another PAS to decrease the communication load with the cloud.
What is the best practice to keep the historical data available in EEH interface, even the communication architecture is changing by adding a new Panel Server and re-assign existing meters/sensors to the new concentrator?
Thank you!
Gabriel

Hello @Gabriel_Ioana
Even if you delete devices from the 1st Panel Server, they will continue to be associated with it in EEH. (so as not to lose data already recorded).
Then I think that you can apply the following work-around solution:
1) Remove it from the 1st Panel Server then associate it with the new one installed.
2) Discover the new 2nd Panel Server (and its meters) in EEH
3) Place these new meters (associated to the 2nd Panel Server) at the same places as the old ones in the energy view to ensure the continuity of the metering (and keep the old ones in the energy view)
3) Only To make it easier to understand, I would advise:
- to use the same name to designate a meter transferred to the 2nd gateway.
- add an extension such as "old" to the name of the meter which was removed from the 1st Panel server (but which still appears in EEH)
For information: the only way to definitively delete a meter in EEH is to delete the Panel Server who gather ( in this case the Panel Server and all the associated meters disappear of EEH and all logged data associated to these meters are deleted !)
