Issue
Will I/NET access control work with retina, palm or fingerprint readers?
Product Line
TAC INET
Environment
- I/NET 2000
- I/NET Seven
Cause
Access controls can use different forms of identifying individual users. Newer readers can scan retinas, palms, and finger prints.
Resolution
I/NET will work with bio scanners, provided they send a data string of the supported Wiegand bit rate for the version and firmware of I/NET in use, and it is in the order expected.
Refer to BioScrypt V-Pass-2 (Biometric) Reader in I/NET Seven for an example or contact Product Support for more details.
