Find New BACnet Device fails to find BACnet devices

Cause

Third Party BACnet software may interfere with the CyberStation Bacnet Find process.

NOTE: There are other reasons that bacnet devices may not be found not covered within this document. See:

• Cannot find new BACnet devices.
• Could not learn in a new 3rd Party BACnet device
• Bacnet 3rd party controller will not respond to Find New Bacnet Devices (Who-Is/I-Am)

Resolution

1. Stop the BACnet service in Administrative Tools\ Services. One example would be Cimetrics service Bacstac Protocol
2. Once the BACnet devices have been found the BACnet service can be restarted, although it may be best to uninstall any non-Continuum bacnet software from a CyberStation
