We have 30x BE550G's operating in our office, we had a power event recently and the units went on batteries as they were supposed to. Some of the systems attached to them turned off. While measuring the voltage on the output of the UPS, we measured a range of 82-88V. What is the operating voltage on the output of this UPS during operation on batteries?

yes, most likely. we can't say for sure though without a true RMS meter but if everything connected operates properly when the UPS goes to battery, then i would not be too worried.

So if I am getting 82V with a non RMS volt meter, that's normal operation for on battery?

These UPS' output a step approximated sine wave on battery which can show very low voltage with a NON true RMS volt meter. The voltage is usually right around 88v. Please see the link below for more info.
