Good day to you. Just want to add to what Chris said. For MAC OSX, we don't have a supported software to be installed. But the Native shutdown is available and you can configure it by following the article:

I used the apcupsd from this site

I use BR1000G-TW (Back-UPS Pro 1000) for my Mac OS 10.11.06.
