UPS with Alarm Suppression

I am looking for a UPS of any Brand or Capacity that has a hardware switch to turn of the audible alarm after it notifies me that something is wrong. I would accept a system that just does its job and tells me nothing at all until I want to know. I do not require a lot of sophistication. I just want to keep telephones and credit card machine up and running. Computer protection would be nice but is not a priority. What is a priority is QUIET.

hi raymond..

depending on what you need size wise, most of APC's UPSs allow for the alarms to be disabled via software. there arent any UPSs that have a switch on them to disable the alarm permanently though, its always in the software to be disabled permanently.

You can order a Smart UPS with X-option 413 which would have a 2-4 week lead time but any Smart UPS that ends with "X413" would come with the alarm disabled. you could always turn it on via the software too but at least this wouldn't require you to do it when you first got the UPS.
